This number called my daughters phone said they were Integrity Services claiming we had business with them.  The woman would not say what business they were in and gave no other information.

They keep trying to collect a debt from the last person who had my phone number. It's been 2 1/2 years. I keep telling them and they start calling again in another month. Time to sue them... and it's going to be for much more than a debtor could sue them for. I'm an innocent victim being harrased and I'm done playing.

They dont want to say who they are unless you say who you arewhen they call you need to say hello several times cause it seems like nobody is thereTheyre not very good at what they do
Report by Tired of these calls Long ago Unknown
Why don't they quit calling if they never get anyone to answer the phone. The last few days I have gotten calls 5 times a day, they just don't give up and never leave a message. I let it go to the answering machine, I don't even have our last names on the outgoing message, how do they know they have the right person they are looking for. The hubby and I have discussed this, and we think it could be for our EX-daughter in law of which she probably gave our number out as a back up, ha, she doesn't even talk to us and she is one person that can't manage her money what so ever, she is a shop-a-holic and then more. I gave up answering the phone, just monitor it 24/7

My new cell number was getting calls from random cities. I just let them go to voicemail. Eventually, I was getting several calls a day. I looked up the numbers and found them all to be from Pinnacle. Finally I decided to answer the callwith my usual "this is Dr. Smith" (I'm a college professor)."Hello?" the woman asked."Yes, this I'd Dr. Smith."Pause. "I'm looking for so-and-so.""I'm sorry, but you must have the wrong number.""OK. I'll take this number off our list."

Calls every day - off and on throughout the day. Changes numbers - I never answer the phone anymore.

Pinnacle Financial calls several times day and night using different numbers which show up on the caller id from different towns.  They do not leave a message, they are very rude and sarcastic if I am able to get them on the phone.  I feel that the number of calls from them is way over the limit of even what a debt collector would do.  I definitely feel that they are harassing me.  Believe me, talking to them is not pleasant and they are not helpful.
Report by Christina Long ago Unknown
Have received several calls from this number, looking for someone with my last name but NOT ME.  Even when I told the woman that answered that I have no connection to this person, she still insisted on asking me if i was her or knew her.  I demanded they remove my number from their list of "possible numbers" they have to call this deadbeat.  Let's hope for their sake they do remove it.  Caller id lists them as "Cleveland" but no company name.

They post-dated a check, and were very helpful. Just answer the phone and they will give you options, that way they stop calling you "ALL THE TIME!!"

I hope it works out ok for you, because on top of the $600 they initially charge you, there's another $129 per person due right before your trip, then on top of that there's undisclosed daily fees for crude oil or something about the boat, plus only pop as a drink is included in their "deal". So for two people, $860 plus airfare, plus the fees they don't disclose, is that really a deal at all?

This is no scam, a scam is a company that is not legitamate for all you idiots who right this crap because you have nothing better to do with yourselves. I investigated this company and it is a legitimate company, and if any of you did the same you would of found that out for yourselves instead of putting negitive bull on a stupid rip off site.  I bought this vacatio and frankly I went to my local travel agency and they could not beat or match the price that I am getting for this whole vacation.  Its wonderful, car, hotel stay plus all your meals, cruise, theme park tickets I cant wait for my family and I to take this vacation.  With the economy the way it is Im glad I can finally go somewhere nice.  And for all you idiots who didnt want it go on there site and look up the price for the cruise portion alone and with any other cruise company and you will see how much you pay for just a 3 day cruise and I got an 8 day vacation for 598.  Get with it people in Forbs magazine it states these types of vacations are the way to go and I no that for a fact after comparing prices and forbes dont lie, you people just lost out

718-228-1157

15 Report Long ago Unknown
It's a 100% scam.  What starts as a "FREE VACATION" turns into a charge of $598 US which doesn't include flights, and a stipulation to attend an information session for a time-share resort.  I'm usually good at picking out scammers, but this time I was had.  The person on the phone was so smooth and I got suckered into it.  HOWEVER, for those of you that also made the mistake of providing your credit card number, there is hope, but you have to act fast.  Copy and paste the link below into your browser and follow the instructions.http://boakes.org/amerivacation-cancel/comment-page-32/IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS...

Anyone know if the vacation is actually legitimate?  I've seen online that it's not easy to get a refund, that it isn't really a 'prize'.  That said, I haven't seen any review on the vacation itself.  It seems like a "discount vacation in exchange for timeshare presentation" operation as opposed to an outright scam where you would lose all your money and not get a vacation.  But I'm not willing to take the bait unless I hear from someone else that the ticket vouchers they send are legit.

I got a call from this number, and it sounded too good to be true. I was so stupid and gave them my credit card number, thinking that paying a deposit was a small price to pay for the adventure of a lifetime. Then I found out an hour later that my friend and her husband had received similar offers. That seemed too weird. Then I googled the number and found this, I also googled Florida Bahama Cruise Vacations and found out similar info. The only contact info their website has is a 1-800 number, no address, in case you want to find them. Sketchy!

I have been receiving calls from this number for several days at 8 AM. I called the number back and found that they where looking for my wife's elderly aunt. The family recently had her phone disconnected after she was scammed out of a lot of money by in a fake lotto scam. I asked how they had gotten my number and the woman would not tell me, but indicated that they got it 'through' my wife's aunt. When I asked why they wanted to speak to my wife's aunt, the woman just said that it was a personal buisness matter. I asked her if it had to do with the Canadian lottery and the woman got very rude and hung up.

Pinto, President Patrick Pinto, VP (brother) Charles Harris, EVP Anthony Lopretto Salvatore Spinelli, Esq. Process Server BBB Rating -D- July 6, 2009 The operators of a debt collection firm will pay $225,000 to settle charges with the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC accused the company of using false threats and other unlawful tactics to collect consumers' debts. According to the FTC complaint, the defendants, who had about three million consumer accounts and collected debts in every state, told consumers their nonpayment of debt would result in garnishment of consumers’ wages, arrest, or legal action., none of which was true. The FTC alleged that the defendants used illegal and abusive debt collection methods: they called consumers before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m.; called their workplace when the collectors knew or had reason to know that the calls were inconvenient; told employers, co-workers, relatives, and neighbors about the consumers' debts; continued calling after receiving consumers’ written demands to stop; and used harassing and abusive tactics such as calling many times a day, calling right back after a consumer hung up, and using profane or other abusive language. Consumers filed hundreds of complaints with the FTC, the Metropolitan New York Better Business Bureau, various state attorneys general, and the defendants, according to the complaint. The defendants often failed to address the law violations alleged in the complaints and often dismissed complaints without significant investigation or disciplinary action against employees, the FTC said. Even in the face of substantial evidence of debt collection violations, the defendants’ collectors often went unpunished or merely received a warning, the complaint stated. The settlements prohibit the defendants from further violations of the FTC Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The settlement with Oxford Collection Agency, Inc., doing business as Oxford Management Services; Richard Pinto; Peter Pinto; and Charles Harris imposes a civil penalty of $1,060,000, all but $225,000 of which will be suspended. The settlement with Salvatore Spinelli, individually, and d/b/a Salvatore Spinelli, Esq., Attorney-at-Law, also imposes a $1,060,000 civil penalty, which will be suspended based on his inability to pay. The full judgments will become due immediately if the defendants are found to have misrepresented their financial condition. The settlements also contain record-keeping and reporting provisions to allow the FTC to monitor compliance with the orders. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which prohibits debt collectors from using abusive, unfair, or deceptive practices to collect from you.Under the FDCPA, a debt collector is someone who regularly collects debts owed to others. This includes collection agencies, lawyers who collect debts on a regular basis, and companies that buy delinquent debts and then try to collect them. Here are some questions and answers about your rights under the Act.What types of debts are covered? The Act covers personal, family, and household debts, including money you owe on a personal credit card account, an auto loan, a medical bill, and your mortgage. The FDCPA doesn’t cover debts you incurred to run a business. Can a debt collector contact me any time or any place? No. A debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 in the morning or after 9 at night, unless you agree to it. And collectors may not contact you at work if they’re told (orally or in writing) that you’re not allowed to get calls there. How can I stop a debt collector from contacting me?If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter – even if you don’t think you owe the debt, can’t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. If you decide after contacting the debt collector that you don’t want the collector to contact you again, tell the collector – in writing – to stop contacting you. Here’s how to do that:Make a copy of your letter. Send the original by certified mail, and pay for a “return receipt” so you’ll be able to document what the collector received. Once the collector receives your letter, they may not contact you again, with two exceptions: a collector can contact you to tell you there will be no further contact or to let you know that they or the creditor intend to take a specific action, like filing a lawsuit. Sending such a letter to a debt collector you owe money to does not get rid of the debt, but it should stop the contact. The creditor or the debt collector still can sue you to collect the debt. Can a debt collector contact anyone else about my debt?If an attorney is representing you about the debt, the debt collector must contact the attorney, rather than you. If you don’t have an attorney, a collector may contact other people – but only to find out your address, your home phone number, and where you work. Collectors usually are prohibited from contacting third parties more than once. Other than to obtain this location information about you, a debt collector generally is not permitted to discuss your debt with anyone other than you, your spouse, or your attorney. What does the debt collector have to tell me about the debt? Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. Can a debt collector keep contacting me if I don’t think I owe any money? If you send the debt collector a letter stating that you don’t owe any or all of the money, or asking for verification of the debt, that collector must stop contacting you. You have to send that letter within 30 days after you receive the validation notice. But a collector can begin contacting you again if it sends you written verification of the debt, like a copy of a bill for the amount you owe. What practices are off limits for debt collectors?Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, they may not:     use threats of violence or harm;     publish a list of names of people who refuse to pay their debts (but they can give this information to the credit reporting companies);     use obscene or profane language; or     repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone. False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:     falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;     falsely claim that you have committed a crime;     falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit reporting company;     misrepresent the amount you owe;     indicate that papers they send you are legal forms if they aren’t; or     indicate that papers they send to you aren’t legal forms if they are. Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:     you will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt;     they’ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or     legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don’t intend to take the action. Debt collectors may not:     give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit reporting company;     send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency if it isn’t; or     use a false company name. Unfair practices. Debt collectors may not engage in unfair practices when they try to collect a debt. For example, they may not:     try to collect any interest, fee, or other charge on top of the amount you owe unless the contract that created your debt – or your state law – allows the charge;     deposit a post-dated check early;     take or threaten to take your property unless it can be done legally; or     contact you by postcard. Can I control which debts my payments apply to? Yes. If a debt collector is trying to collect more than one debt from you, the collector must apply any payment you make to the debt you select. Equally important, a debt collector may not apply a payment to a debt you don’t think you owe.Can a debt collector garnish my bank account or my wages? If you don’t pay a debt, a creditor or its debt collector generally can sue you to collect. If they win, the court will enter a judgment against you. The judgment states the amount of money you owe, and allows the creditor or collector to get a garnishment order against you, directing a third party, like your bank, to turn over funds from your account to pay the debt. Wage garnishment happens when your employer withholds part of your compensation to pay your debts. Your wages usually can be garnished only as the result of a court order. Don’t ignore a lawsuit summons. If you do, you lose the opportunity to fight a wage garnishment. Can federal benefits be garnished? Many federal benefits are exempt from garnishment, including:     Social Security Benefits     Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Benefits     Veterans’ Benefits     Civil Service and Federal Retirement and Disability Benefits     Service Members’ Pay     Military Annuities and Survivors’ Benefits     Student Assistance     Railroad Retirement Benefits     Merchant Seamen Wages     Longshoremen’s and Harbor Workers’ Death and Disability Benefits     Foreign Service Retirement and Disability Benefits     Compensation for Injury, Death, or Detention of Employees of U.S. Contractors Outside the U.S.     Federal Emergency Management Agency Federal Disaster Assistance But federal benefits may be garnished under certain circumstances, including to pay delinquent taxes, alimony, child support, or student loans. Do I have any recourse if I think a debt collector has violated the law? You have the right to sue a collector in a state or federal court within one year from the date the law was violated. If you win, the judge can require the collector to pay you for any damages you can prove you suffered because of the illegal collection practices, like lost wages and medical bills. The judge can require the debt collector to pay you up to $1,000, even if you can’t prove that you suffered actual damages. You also can be reimbursed for your attorney’s fees and court costs. A group of people also may sue a debt collector as part of a class action lawsuit and recover money for damages up to $500,000, or one percent of the collector’s net worth, whichever amount is lower. Even if a debt collector violates the FDCPA in trying to collect a debt, the debt does not go away if you owe it.What should I do if a debt collector sues me?If a debt collector files a lawsuit against you to collect a debt, respond to the lawsuit, either personally or through your lawyer, by the date specified in the court papers to preserve your rights. Where do I report a debt collector for an alleged violation?Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General’s office (www.naag.org) and the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov). Many states have their own debt collection laws that are different from the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Your Attorney General’s office can help you determine your rights under your state’s law.For More InformationTo learn more about debt collection and other credit-related issues, visit www.ftc.gov/credit and MyMoney.gov, the U.S. government’s portal to financial education. The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid them. Have been receiving calls from this number for quite some time. I've answered twice; the first time I got a recording telling me that it was not a sales call but it was something important to please hold the line. I hung up because I resent being called and put on hold. The second time, I decided to wait and give them a piece of my mind. I waited through 8 recorded messages telling me to please hold the line, I had things to do and hung up again. These calls are generally made between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. and again between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.  Today I received one at 1:30 p.m.  I owe no deliquent debts, and have had my phone number for 20+ years, with an exception of about 2 years 11 years ago. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Been getting real and automated calls looking for someone named Jason Harris for a couple weeks now. At first sounding like normal calls but quickly converting to robo calls and obvious collection agency calls. I have multiple lines that are cross linked so this morning I hit 1 and asked which number they are calling. They are calling the new Vonage number I added just over 3 months ago. A search of the internet shows this number only once in a for sale notice at a radio station almost a year before I was given the number. I laid into the person on the phone so we'll just see long it takes for them to call back.

So SUE THEM !  Under the TCPA, a consumer has a right to file a lawsuit and recover $500 for each call that violates the TCPA. The TCPA can also be used in conjunction with the Fair Debt CollectionPractices Act in some situations.  Generally, the TCPA does not apply to debt collectors making collection calls to debtors. However, if you are subjected to calls from a debt collector and you are not the debtor, you may file a lawsuit against the debt collector under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the TCPA.This right was recently recognized by Judge Legrome D. Davis in a case called Watson v. NCO Group, Inc.  NCO Group is a debt collector that uses automated prerecorded collection calls.  In this case, Mr. Watson alleged he was getting hundreds of calls from NCO Group after he got a new phone number. Mr. Watson claimed he owed no debt to NCO Group, Inc.  Mr. Watson filed suit under both the FDCPA and TCPA.David Israel, defense lawyer for NCO, argued that the TCPA should not apply to debt collectors.  Judge Davis rejected the argument made by David Israel. The judge ruled that Mr. Watson had a right to sue NCO Group Inc under the TCPA for $500 for each call.  Judge Davis wrote;[The] Court is convinced that a non-debtor's rights are in fact violated when he is subjected to repeated annoying and abusive debt collection calls that he remains powerless to stop.Judge Davis' ruling was based upon his interpretation that collection calls to non-debtors violate the privacy rights provided by the TCPA.  So what can you do if you receive "wrong number" calls from debt collectors?1. Sign up for the Do-Not-Call registry.2. Save the calls captured by your voice mail or answering machine.3. Contact a consumer lawyer.

I received a call from this number, but no message was left. I called back from my work number as it was local. I then called back from my cell where I received the call, and my number was "entered" into a "daily sweepstakes". I requested that me number be removed from their list through the number's automated system. This is likely a scam for financial information. No person actually answers the phone. Plus, my number is on both the national and state DNC.

Last week I got 2 phone calls from this phone number 561-296-1942 Here the deal with this issue and be very glad it was not your cell phone they contacted. After running a test found out it was just a company trying to make customers made and make then buy and register with TPS reduces these calls they make so their telephone company can make money off of you like the zoom back GPS gadget which legally give a company the right to steal your car and send you a text letting you know your car has been stolen. TPS is basically the same thing idea. If you happen to receive a number on your callers id. Let your answering machine pick up the call before you answer if it is silent then you know it is a phone chaser trying to get you to switch your phone company! It is bad how digital technology is really messing the good old fashioned telephone calls than are cheap. However think of it this way. It's worse if you own a cell phone especially with one that runs on minutes of contracted long distance attached to a mobile. You can avoid this y buying a corded fashion telephone and not use the computer to make long distance calls that’s how companies get your number. Yes through the Internet phone number vox system. A type of system set up for companies like fl digital network to make mega millions. The company that is doing this silent call is Florida Digital Network 1818 S Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 http://fdn.com they use a new vox system and when you confront them about the problem they will most likely deny it unless you’ve got lots of Money or a darn good attorney to take them to the laundry.Heres is how they are an inconvenience to the human raceall from HSBC using this "silent call" mechanism. It's only by googling the number that I know it was HSBC. It's not just annoying, it's downright rude. Before I had 20 calls in 2 days by Amex who would call and never leave a message. I thought I had a stalker and was about to call the police. The hated calls  -  which have homeowners running to the phone to find no one is on the line  -  are generated by companies that use automated dialling systems but don't have enough staff to deal with those who answer. The number of complaints about the practice rose from about 300 a month to 1,050 during the year to September, the communications watchdog revealed. Ofcom also revealed a rise in sales and marketing techniques used by unscrupulous firms to trick consumers into buying their product or service. Complaints about the 'mis-selling'  -  which includes a phenomenon called 'slamming', where consumers are switched from one supplier to another without realising it  -  increased from 800 to 1,050. The watchdog recently took action against Abbey National, Barclaycard and various credit agencies to enforce compliance with guidelines on the issues. To coincide with the figures, Ofcom yesterday launched a guide to advise those affected by the 'twin scourges of the communications sector'. It is also released new guidance for customers who have complaints about services from their communications providers. However, it announced a drop in complaints about the industry  -  including about mobile phone cashback deals, which are notorious for being hard to enforce. There was also a dip in complaints from those unable to swap broadband providers because of restrictions on their phone lines. The report revealed that consumers are increasingly taking advantage of competition to seek the best deal. The number of people switching to one supplier for digital TV, home phones, mobile or broadband has increased from 18 per cent to 32 per cent. Ofcom chief Ed Richards said: 'The Consumer Experience report allows us to monitor the consumer experience of the communications market. 'Satisfaction levels remain high but action against the scourges of mis-selling and silent calls remain priorities for Ofcom.'
